“Proof of Loyalty” Rebroadcast on PBS Hawaii

“Proof of Loyalty: Kazuo Yamane and the Nisei Soldiers of Hawaii,” a documentary featuring the Military Intelligence Service, will be rebroadcast on PBS Hawaii (KHET) on

Kazuo Yamane was a member of the original 100th Infantry Battalion, one of 60 who were transferred to the MIS. He singlehandedly discovered a priceless Japanese document, then was sent to Europe to prepare for a secret raid into Berlin. For more on Mr. Yamane, visit the MIS Hawaii website:

The film, produced by Lucy Ostrander and Don Sellers of Stourwater Pictures, was shown at the Hawaii International Film Festival in December 2017.
